Around Here

Around here, everything is in bloom. The iris, the red hot pokers, and roses are in full bloom...I love all the flowers once again.

Little man is always busy with some project. Really thankful for the art room. On nice days they move outside to create.
And this is what the art table still looks likes, always changing, always busy with the kids and their friends, always messy and luckily still there after Greta and her friend did some chemistry experiments on it...and of course the cat is always in the middle of everything those two kids are up to.
We didn't think we would get two happy little readers but this one is giving Greta a run for her money. He will read just about anywhere these days(here at Costco) and we have to check on him after he is "supposed" to go to bed because we find him up reading. I should have imagined since they are so different in almost every way that they would read differently. Greta likes to lounge and read for hours. Fieldin reads in a lot of short 10 minute bursts. No surprise he has no interest in the books she enjoyed. It is hard to find books he can really get into, besides just star wars. He did like Ralph S. Mouse.
A chocolate dispensing robot Fieldin made and painted for Greta when she sprained her ankle. He has made a lot of "robots" this last year out of stuff in our recycle bin, shelves, garage.. anything he can find.
While sitting with Greta when she was laid up on the couch, I wanted to make her something. It made me feel better making her something. So I got out some felt and made a drawstring bag for her drum sticks.

all in bloom in the backyard
and happy birthday Chompers. He is 4 now! or 28... This is how he spent almost all of his birthday!!! Sleeping with a couple trips to the kitchen window to watch the bluebirds build their nest. We love you Chompers, but you already know that.
