Drop Off Day At Summer Camp For The Eldest

 After years of summer camp, this is how we roll... throw it all in a big bag. So long organization, it all comes back destroyed anyway :)

 There is a medieval theme this year so she came across these on the way to her cabin.

Band Camp For The Eldest

 Saturday afternoon we took Gret's BFF and we all got to go hear all the awesome music Greta has been working on the last week. It was great and she learned so much. Above with the symphonic band.

While Big Sis Is Away, The Youngest Will Play

So this girl we haven't seen much since the last day of school and I was worried how little man would handle her being away. As you can tell by his expression here, he is always up to something and has kept himself quite busy... just don't tell Greta... 

 He has taken over Greta's jobs to earn cash for legos

 he tries to catch foul balls at baseball games and gets daddy time

 he did walk for waffles to my friends house for breakfast. He carried the syrup and whipped cream. 

 We take morning bike rides daily unless he is in swim class 

 He sells stuff... 

 we go to the park

 we pick strawberries

 he bakes 

 he sells lemonade 

 and catches up on netflix movies 

 plays "quidditch" from Harry Potter 

 eats lots of Popsicles 

Is working on a new novel about a monster cucumber  

 watches the cubs and gets the whole bowl of raspberries to himself

Yeah, I think he is REALLY missing her badly.... 

Needy Kitty

Our main job this summer is finding kitty's puff balls that she pushes under furniture. As you can imagine, it is her favorite game and kitty gets UPSET when she can't find her puffballs (all 13 of them and counting) now that the kids are home, they can help me keep kitty happy. I took these photos of Fieldin finding all her puffballs only for her to have lost them all 15 minutes later. Fieldin didn't know I took these but I love his annoyed expression.. we are with you Fieldin.

Celebration

To celebrate their amazing day we had a sleep over at our house(on a school night!) the night before the last day of school. The girls finished an escape room game that is pretty tough. Here they are holding the timer with 40 seconds left. This game is for adults and even then 25% can't solve it. With brain power like this, I should not be surprised. 

 Before school on the last day of 6th grade. 

 Fieldin slept over at his friends house and had field day at school. All the excitement caught up with him.. 

The celebration continues.. Greta found out she made jazz band which was a huge goal for her. 

A Huge Day For The Eldest

Greta is keeping up her momentum from elementary school to middle school. She swept the award ceremony this year and good thing she wore her converse with her dress because she got a lot of exercise. She pretty much got every award. We are so proud.....

Here is the list: Citizen of the year, Robotics team MVP, Outstanding musician, excellence in social studies, excellence in math, excellence in language arts, excellence in science, excellence in PE (ha!)...

 One of her teachers said a nice speech before she got her Citizen of the year award and then it is customary that the family goes up with her to accept her award. So we had to get pics taken. Fieldin was a little nervous being in front of so many people but as you can tell by his face he was so proud.

He's A Model Citizen

Fieldin won a citizen award at his end of the year award ceremony. It's the big one to get and he was excited! and proud... 

 Greta left school early to watch him get his award 

 and remembering that Greta always got ice cream when she used to win a citizen award, this guy handed me his award and said "This means ice cream". How could we say no to that!

Fieldin's youth group finished up the year this week and will break over the summer. he had fun at the awards ceremony playing minute to win it with legos.
