Harvest

Our backyard garden keeps on giving and experimenting new crops went well so the garden will look different next year. We were happy to grow potatoes for the first time as well as corn. We had the best carrot crop so far. 

Lots of tomatillos and small tomatoes for salsa making. My peas, beans and lettuce did not do as well this year. We will have lots of squash and we are still getting cucumbers. Not much luck with pumpkins. 

 

First Day Of School

Back to packing lunches… 

This guy is FINALLY getting his first locker, last year they were not assigned. He was excited and nervous about the whole locker thing. 

As with tradition, first day of school Fall pumpkin cake is ready for an after school treat. 

You read it right. Skipping a year and graduating this Spring.. instead of being a senior next year she will be off at college a year early. 

This kiddo is a 7th grader now and as tall as I am!!
