Early Holiday Cheer

Almost all the decorations inside have found a home, so it was time to work on the outside. 

Here is a glimpse of the front(so far) Fieldin was proud of the tree he decorated and he hung the lights above the garage 

This is a carousel that was given to us that has been very exciting to the neighborhood kids. Today we had small groups accumulating around watching it move around VERY slowly. 

On the side there are lights that change on the house🤪

Good job buddy, now you get to do the backyard! 
 

Around Here

Around here my Christmas cactus is blooming actually at the right time instead of July 😊 We are getting our first bird of paradise ( below) 

And our hibiscus is still blooming indoors..

Around here I am still conquering new recipes on my covid food bucket list. The latest... Greek Baklava

Around here it took a hour to put out all the holiday LEGOs. 

Around here my shop was buzzing with orders. My favorite being some custom hen ornaments. It’s quieter this week so I’m working on some new things.

Here was my humane chicken factory last week. Seven different breeds. 

Around here we are starting to get games out more and watching old holiday movies. 

Around here the outside is starting to look a bit like Christmas. I switched out the house lanterns and hung the very cute wreath from my aunt. 

Around here finishing up on some new ornaments for the shop. Sawing wood, painting and baking clay 

 

Third Time Driving

She is loving her driving time and getting more confident each time. I stick magnets all over the car😁

 

This Happened..

The eldest can now drive legally.. yikes! I just ordered caution new driver magnets for the car 🤣 now we just need to start her 100 hours of driving so she can get her drivers license this spring. Don’t worry neighbors, we are not starting on the roads, parking lots first! 

We gave her a vinyl record that she has really wanted as a treat for passing:) 

 

Carving Large Fruit

We spent the morning listening to Halloweenish music and carving pumpkins. It is very fun now that the kids can cut and clean their pumpkins all on their own. Above is Jeff’s alien/ spaceship pumpkin

We found this beauty tonight. I’ve moved in all the tropical plants in for winter and it is so fun to find new flowers this time of year. 

 

Busy Kids

Today felt very PC ( pre-covid) hanging around the house doing creative projects. The lil’ man was busy most of the day baking and decorating cookies.

One of our Fall roses. 

We created an Etsy shop today for the family. The kids learned how to measure and weigh items for shipping, pricing, taking photos of items and some marketing. Greta really got into it and enjoyed it. 

We still have produce coming out of the garden on October 24th. It’s supposed to get VERY cold tonight so we will see if that ends. 

And one last Fall rose pictures. They smell so amazing. 
 

Around Here

We are already craving some Christmas, making Chex mix already! 

Cat grass growing time.. as the weather gets colder she’s not going to be outside as much so her grass gets moved indoors.

I sometimes wish it was Fall year around here. It’s so beautiful.
