Around Here

I love Oregon in the Fall. It is just so beautiful. It is getting colder in the mornings so Tater Tot spends a lot of her day on blankets.

Finally Fall

It was a beautiful Fall day today. We made a stop by one of our favorite farms. I think we need to return to the “ if you can’t carry it, you can’t have it” rule. lol Greta had a struggle. 

We saw a cookie delivery robot today and it made our day. It travels alone around a whole town via gps on its own. It stops and looks both ways before crossing the street and waits for traffic. It was so fun to watch. The kids now want a cookie delivery robot for Christmas:) 

In the past we always tend to buy smaller pumpkins for carving, not this year! It was apparently go big or go home. 

He was able to carry his pumpkin!

Fall Photos

No school photos this year so we took our own for the scrapbooks. Every year they change so much as well as their personalities... the yearly Fall photos show it all. I always take way too many photos and it takes me forever to go through them all. Greta, 15 years. Fieldin 12 years

 

Some Culture

We took a visit up to Portland to get a bit of much missed cult up to our lives. We took a trip to the art museum and saw the new exhibit on Mt. St. Helens and  then on to the cultural museum for a great exhibit on the woman’s suffrage and Oregon history. We ended the day with a nice stroll through the changing leaves at the Japanese garden. Then of course a stop on the way home for some LEGO shopping! 

 

Happy Birthday To The Youngest

Happy 12th birthday to the youngest! It was a quiet day at home and now both kids have celebrated a covid birthday. This birthday was all about video games and frisbee golf gear 

Dad came by to join us and we ate middle eastern take out that the lil’ (big) guy requested and had cake. 

His birthday train is looking a little overloaded...
 

Slowly Returning

We have had such extreme changes over the last 6 months.. then we were gone for a bit and more changed. Our home didn’t even feel like home and schedules were nonexistent. We are slowly finding our new normal. Today I spent the day doing some Fall cleaning, cooking and baking. It started feeling a bit like home again. 

Jeff and I have been having so much fun with the scroll saw. We love  these lanterns. 

It’s Fall here. I love everything about Fall...

The garden is still producing but is slowly finishing. It is still worth a daily trip out back to gather vegies

More and more pickles.. I think my pickle days are numbered....

To help with my stress, at night while we watch tv together, I knit! Using a bunch of my scrap yarn up and knitting pumpkins and then I top it off with a cinnamon stick. I’ve kept a few but giving them to anyone who will take them. I had a patch of homemade pumpkins 

 Finally back to cooking, I finally made a very successful batch of egg rolls. I was so proud:)
