Finally

After 11 years of ignoring a trail not far from our home, we finally did the 4 mile path and it was lovely.

Someone got her license and now we are all adjusting to the newness of a new driver.

It’s Starting

First off my new plant baby... 

The first garden produce of 2021! Jeff made me a veggie wash/ dry station below and I put a coat of paint on it! I’m ready for the veggies now!

We took the weekend to do some hiking and wandering around the painted hills area of Oregon, a place we had never been before

Sweet Jeff

This man.. he tried to save a baby hummingbird that fell from its nest in our garden. It was very close to flying but still could not feed itself.. he ended up dropping it at a bird rehabilitation place near our house since he could not find the tiny nest in the mass of lilacs. Tater tot loves her hummingbird friends, she never tries to catch or hurt them. She was pretty sad about the baby and would sit a couple feet away watching it to make sure it was okay and not being bothered...

 

Back To School

 I forgot to post this a few weeks ago. This was the first day back for both kids in person. How is it going? Fieldin stays in one class all day and five teachers rotate in and teach. So far he loves it and there has been no issues or quarantines. At lunch they sit in chairs three feet apart and eat and chat. 

Greta has to change classes and it is not going as well. A large portion of her school have been quarantined due to just a few cases. She also has been quarantined so far once, due to a student testing positive in one of her classes( she is fine) she goes back in a few days and ironically gets her second vaccine the next day. Gosh school during covid is very stressful. So far we have had a less stressful experience with the middle school.
