Saturday was a good beach day.
The kids wanted to go the minute they woke up.
Here is the biggest agate I have ever found. I wasn't even rock hunting. I just wanted to play frisbee and volleyball...and maybe find a sand dollar. I had three agates wash up right to me. A nice gift from the ocean.
Lately, when we go to the beach we set up a home base, then all go off in different directions. Greta starts looking for fossilized rocks. There she is above with a big shovel and a frisbee to hold her finds. Fieldin plays with trucks and sand toys(below) and likes to dig. Jeff goes rock hunting near the waves. I look for someone to play ball or frisbee with but everyone's busy. So I just check out what everyone else is doing.
The kids feel so at home at the beach. I saw Fieldin stop climbing and head down to home base and get in the picnic basket, grab some food and then just sit peacefully watching the waves. He's very independent for his age but watching it all from afar was pretty cute.
Our favorite treat at the beach. Toostsie pops. They are easy and don't melt. Here we all are with one. love this pic.
I've been soaking these two in ALOT lately. They are growing and changing so fast.
