Gret's Glasses

Genetics caught up with her.
She recently grew another half inch(she's inching closer to 4'7" now!)
It was probably enough to send her borderline eyesight south to the land of spectacles.
We were all hoping she would make it to 8 or 9 before she needed them. She doesn't mind. She is happy to see things more clearly once again. Also, her glasses came with a cute case and this girl likes accessories.
Her favorite pose. Fieldin's first words when he saw her with glasses was "Greta, you look like a librarian!"
When she first put them on she said "whoaaaa" and she is also happy that the birdhouse in the far corner of our back yard is no longer a "fuzzy house".
She picked these out all on her own and wasn't interested with input. You can't see it in the picture but the inside/side of her glasses is a very light green that matches the color of her eyes and that's why she wanted them. She loves her green eyes.
Last evening she said "I like my face with glasses"
She doesn't have to wear them all day yet but she can if she wants too. It will take awhile for her to get used to them. Right now she wears them all the time because it's easier.
Fieldin wants a pair now and keeps telling me " My vision is running out"
He thinks they are "super" glasses and she can see everything..like far away volcanoes, cities in WA, ocean creatures. We keep trying to tell him you can't see what's not there...
Now he just hides behind things and shouts "Can you see me?"
Greta just says "no" and will let him figure out she can't see through objects.
