Gearing up for more visitors at Hotel B this week. Looking forward to more screaming kiddos up and down the stairs :)

Where Have We Been?

Why Haven't You Heard From Us On The Blog Lately? 1. We Were Sick With A Bug 2. We Were Watching March Madness 3. We Had A Visit From GiGi For A Few Days 4. We Visited Grandpa For A Week 5. All Of The Above Answer: #5, yes it's been a bit busy around here. Yesterday we just got back from a nice trip to my dads and then we have some friends coming to stay this Wednesday. Life has been full! I arrived home to find major signs of spring around here. Trees in bloom and sun outside. Greta is back to school this morning. Fieldin is playing with toys and ready to go outside. Back to the Monday Grind!

Watching Boxing As A Child Can Be Helpful..

or at least it was for us this week. Fieldin, while being in superman mode, was jumping off his bed and scratched up his chin pretty bad. I was doing the best mommy care I could when Jeff swooped in with petroleum jelly and smeared some on his bleeding chin. It stopped. Fieldin and I were both relieved and Fieldy tottered off. Jeff said " I guess watching boxing as a child was good for something" smirked and walked off himself. Crises resolved. Boys.....
Here is a glimpse into our last week.

Waking up to waves the middle of last week. Fieldy with his binoculars. He for some reason kept saying it was the "river".
He very much liked wearing this Daphne from Scooby Doo wig. He wore it while waiting for Gret's bus to come home and has been carrying it around..

At the ocean. Greta had the day off school. So we visited Jeff at the ocean while he was at a conference.
The Spring/ Summer To Do lists are up. Now we just need blue skies to do them:)

Greta the magician. She had a sign up for her "magician school" She loves magic and drawing. The littlest one has been very much into painting this week.
A little lollipop and a little attitude makes a good combination.

It is 2:30 and....

The kids just got dressed.
We finally got them to go outside to the backyard for fresh air.
The Coug game is on.
The wash machine has been running all day.
A rare Saturday around here.
The kids don't want to leave the house.
I give them two hours and they will be climbing the walls:)
Hope all of you are having a wonderful weekend!

Buck Up!

I've been a bit blue this week.
I have no idea why, but I guess we are all entitled to a little Charlie Brown cloud over our head every once in awhile. Luckily, I am outta my funk, I think.
I heard Greta telling Fieldin yesterday "You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit"
A good motto to live by as well. I love this saying.
Sometimes it takes a well known phrase from a wise 5 year old to knock me back to reality.
So if any of you are feeling blue today! Buck up...and don't throw a fit, o.k.? or maybe you should if it makes you feel better...

Dr. Suess

One of Greta's favorite books when she was younger was "Mr. Brown Can Moo Can You?"
I have memories of reading it over and over to her while she sat in her bouncer looking at the pictures.
Yesterday, Greta brought me the book and snuggled next to me on the sofa. I started to read the cover by habit when she said " Noooo, I'm going to read it to you".
She read the WHOLE book to me only getting stuck on a few words.
What a special Seuss moment.
Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!
