Around Here

Well, it is is getting close to summer vacation around here but you would not know it by the weather! 

 Fieldin with the diorama her made for his Green heron bird report. 

 This boy ALWAYS has his nose in a book.. He rarely listens to us or knows what is going on since he never leaves his world of books. In the car, in shopping carts, on the floor while shopping, at the bus stop etc. etc... he is always with a book. 

 This is the view I come home to most days. I think the cat has passed only to find that she is waiting for someone to get her puffball toys out from under the sofa.. or oven. She is obsessed with puffballs but loses them quickly. I wonder if she lays there so she doesn't forgot where the puffball went so us humans can get them quickly. 

 The weather has been gloomy but once in a while I can get out for a ride around the neighborhood. 

If she isn't chasing puffballs or begging for food she is sleeping. Sometimes that means sleeping sitting up. 

Field Trip For The Youngest

While I was tearing down my class last week, Jeff chaperoned Fieldin's field trip to the raptor center in Eugene.

 It's strawberry picking time again!! 

 I know it looks like there is a minion in the pool, but it is just Fieldin taking his swim lessons. 

 Roses are all blooming around the yard...

 These two are getting into summer mode and I am already there. 

 The cat if finally starting to realize that she MIGHT want to go outside with the kids. 

 After a wonderful year and an adorable graduation, it is time to say goodbye to the classroom for a couple months.. It always seems so bare. See you in August when you are all clean and ready for me, classroom.

Life has been busy. 

We are on an end of school year countdown.

Loving these sunny days. Longer days for playing outside and doing chemistry experiments with friends in the backyard. 

She Can Hurdle

 So I only asked her one thing when she decided to do track..."Please, don't hurdle" I knew I would have trouble watching it... So this girl, who hates to run decided that she would try to do track to push herself to do something she hates. I thought, Wow that is great, good job, Gret. Then she came home after the first practice and said " I LOVE THE HURDLES". Well, great.

Seriously.. The Birthday Continues

Greta had a few of her best friends over for a sleepover birthday and to figure out an Escape Room game together. 

 Getting to work. These gals are SMART and they were locked in a room for a hour with a timer counting down, riddles and clues and they figured it out! It took 66 minutes but they did it and there was alot of math involved. They showed me the clues and I was so lost....

 This cat was thrilled when they went upstairs for the evening and left her "spot" alone.
