Signs Of Greta Around The House

Blogger has been down the last couple days, so I have some catching up to do.

Miss Greta leaves wonderful pictures and notes all around the house these days so I thought it would be fun to share..

I loooove this. She wrote this the other day and I snatched it up. I am thinking of framing it. it says " I will be me" with periods in between each word.

I found this in the playroom on the table. It says " I can read Cinderella" So proud of you Greta. Writing, reading and spelling at six. I would have loved to be able to do this at six!

And a rose from my backyard, nothing to do with Miss Greta but I am so Happy to have pretty roses blooming in May!

Whistle

Miss Greta lost her first front tooth today! She has been waiting and waiting for it to finally come out. She said that the best thing about losing her tooth is now she can whistle. She looks so incredibly cute with her toothy gap!

I hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful Mother's day. I enjoyed a lazy day with my kiddos and remembering my mom...

Being a mom is the coolest job.. I've never had a desk job where I could play chase, where people ask me to draw them a chipmunk wearing underpants, where I can talk like a pirate all day, blow bubbles and laugh.. It is a cool job, hard but cool and I love having a day to remember that!

Duty calls..time to put bubble soap in Fieldin's lawn mower and dig in dirt with Miss Greta.

Life Around Here

The weather's been up and down, a little beach time, a lot of front tooth wiggling, alot of reading by our emerging reader Greta, A little toilet training( he has negotiated a bribe of the sum of 3 or more m&m's to use the toilet. He drives a hard bargain...), the little man playing the guitar and singing original songs "summer tiiiiiiime...sumertime...playing in the sun. summertime..all done",

growing plants, organizing family photos, watching the kings speech(good movie), a broken lawnmower, a minor electrocution, rainy day hide and seek in the house..hint: he is always hiding in a closet, swim class, bike riding and bird watching... that's about it.

Happy Mayday!

One of my fun memories from childhood was celebrating May Day when I was Greta's age. I loved surprising neighbors with flowers. So the kids made May Day baskets out of construction paper and glammed them up with stickers and delivered a little flower fun to the neighbors this morning.
Ready for delivery. Fieldin also brought along a backpack of toys for the journey. One can never be too prepared.

It was a glorious day outside today, so we spent the whole day outside, cleaning cars and working in the yard. Fieldin was busy "speeding" around on his motorcycle, sans shirt(and a very white belly) and his shark helmet. The little man also started to ride his trike a bit all alone today. Not long and he will be the terror of the sidewalk on his trike. Miss Greta collected bugs and rode her bicycle around. She is doing great...and speaking of Greta.....

This cutie is about to loose a front tooth. We thought it was coming out today but it is stubborn..like it's owner. :) She may be more toothless by tomorrow.

As for me, I am still trying to find time to jump on a computer regularly to at least check email. The Royal Wedding highlights distracted me a bit last week and a new love of sudoku is even making it harder. :)

waiting "patiently" for bunny cake after eating dinner. Greta ate so much ham, I have no idea where she found room for cake.. Making very early morning pancakes. You can't tell by the picture but our house was extremely dark when we awoke this morning. We were up before the birds...

Morning kissies.. Fieldin drug down all his sleeping buddies(that's stitch laying there) half asleep. Greta yelled in his room the Easter bunny had come and he woke up yelling"ok!!!" jumped out of bed but was stopped by the safety gate on his door. Poor little fellow cried after Greta til we ran quickly to free him.
