After a year of playing basketball, we are done for the summer. I can finally breathe for awhile. Watching those games can be stressful!
She played with older girls and girls from a different school this year but she began and ended with teammates from her own school that she likes very much. After playing with girls older than her, this last session seemed so nice and mellow. Here they are after their last game. If you can't pick her out, look for the tallest one. I tell you all she is tall this picture puts it into perspective doesn't it :) She had a good year playing. We had tears, minor injuries, growth, frustration, joy and all those skills clicking into place to end the year as a stronger player. She plays smart and just amazes me sometimes... Good Job kiddo.
I did try to video but it is hard. We sit on bleachers full of people, some footage is boring and I usually miss the exciting parts because I am cheering and enjoying. The sad news is there is less basketball offered to girls Greta's age next year so we are trying to figure out other options. As it looks right now she will only be able to play for two or three months in the winter instead of a whole school year.
